Commonwealth Place Foreshore is the pre-eminent waterfront space for Lake Burley Griffin’s central basin, situated on key National Capital axes. The site comprises 400m of formal lake edge, piers and pedestrian promenades. The site is a structuring element within the Parliamentary Zone and Central basin, and a recognised social and congregational space used for active recreation pursuits, socialising, local and national events.
