The development of this significant European and Aboriginal Heritage site into a recreation zone was realised through a collaborative approach between the consultant team, Aboriginal representatives, artist Wellspring Environmental Arts and Design, and a proactive Client. An informed and sensitive approach allowed the creation of an evocative yet low-impact hilltop recreation area in the new suburb of Franklin. Key items of significance were recognised, and either celebrated or quietly accommodated depending on their cultural and environmental sensitivity.
