Weston Park shelter is one of a series of collaborations on public space shelters and stages with Philip Leeson Architects for the ACT Government, following highly successful work at Tuggeranong Town Park and Glebe Park. The brief required the replacement of old structures with a generously scaled contemporary shelter to accommodate large and small groups. The outcome is a robust and open shelter which sits lightly in the nationally significant landscape of Lake Burley Griffin.
